Dr Akanksha Roberts

Akanksha Roberts pursued her PhD in biotechnology from the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology in Hyderabad (India). During her PhD, she developed different viral diagnostic platforms, with particular emphasis on the zoonotic virus that causes Japanese Encephalitis. She joined the Beisel lab as a postdoc in 2023 and her current research focuses on the advancement of CRISPR-based point-of-care diagnostic tools for infectious diseases.
