About

Gauthier Roy obtained his PhD from the University of Lille (France) in June 2022. During his doctoral studies at the Pasteur Institute of Lille, he investigated the mechanisms of copper homeostasis in the whooping cough agent Bordetella pertussis and discovered a new post-transcriptional regulation mechanism controlling copper uptake. In January 2025, he joined the Vogel group as a postdoctoral researcher, where he focuses on strategies for the delivery of antisense oligomers in various bacterial species.
