Dr Linda Popella
About
Linda obtained her PhD in Immunology/Virology from the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Department of Immune Modulation, Universitätsklinikum Erlangen) in 2018. Afterwards, she headed a working group investigating Herpes simplex virus type 1- and Human cytomegalovirus-mediated immune modulation strategies targeting the biology and function of human monocyte-derived dendritic cells. She joined the Vogel lab as postdoctoral researcher in June 2020, where she is currently developing programmable antimicrobials using RNA-directed antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) as a platform. Outside of the lab, Linda enjoys spending her time cooking and catching up with friends.
