Dr Sudeshna Manna
About
Sudeshna Manna completed her PhD in Chemical Biology in Prof. S. G. Srivatsan’s lab at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune (India). Her doctoral thesis was focused on probing nucleic acid structures and recognition using responsive nucleoside probes. Later, she joined Prof. Ming Hammond’s lab at the University of Utah Salt Lake City (USA) as a postdoctoral fellow and developed RNA-based biosensors for detecting bacterial metabolites. Subsequently, she joined the Beisel lab at HIRI in December 2022. Her current research is focused on developing CRISPR-based point-of-care diagnostics.
