Frank Englert

Frank Englert obtained his MSc at the Julius-Maximilians University of Würzburg (Germany) in 2020. His thesis work in the lab of Chase Beisel was focused on characterizing endogenous CRISPR-Cas systems in the plant pathogen Xanthomonas albilineans. In November 2020, he continued his journey with the Beisel group, now as PhD student. His current research focuses on investigating novel anti-phage defense systems in bacteria.
