Manuel Velasco Gomariz

Manuel Velasco Gomariz completed his MSc in Health Biotechnology at the Pablo de Olavide University in Seville (Spain). He then joined Kathrin Fröhlich’s lab at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena to pursue his PhD, focusing on RNA-binding proteins and post-transcriptional regulation in Caulobacter crescentus. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at HIRI studying the RNA biology of cystoviruses during host takeover.
